Malpi Science Olympiad

The annual Science Olympiad at Malpi International School was an exciting and intellectually stimulating event that saw enthusiastic participation from all four houses: Janakpur (Red House), Khumbu (Green House), Lumbini (Yellow House), and Mustang (Blue House). This highly anticipated competition, which spanned across multiple scientific disciplines, aimed to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and teamwork among students while celebrating the spirit of academic excellence.
A total of 142 students from classes 4 to 10 participated in the Olympiad, representing their houses with pride. Students competed in various categories including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Astronomy, allowing them to showcase their knowledge in the respective subjects. Each category was carefully designed to test not only theoretical knowledge but also practical application and problem-solving skills.
The competition unfolded in two phases. The first phase was a preliminary written test that was conducted across all categories. This phase tested students on a wide range of scientific topics, encouraging them to apply what they had learned in the classroom to real-world scenarios. Students from each house gave their best, and the preliminary round saw a healthy competition with a high level of performance from participants.
Moreover, the Olympiad helped students develop critical life skills such as problem-solving, time management, and collaborative thinking. These skills, nurtured through events like this, are essential in shaping well-rounded individuals who are prepared to face the challenges of the modern world.
The event was a great success, leaving a lasting impact on the students, teachers, and the entire Malpi community. The dedication of the teachers and staff in organizing the Olympiad was evident, and the event has become a staple of the school’s commitment to academic excellence and innovative learning. As always, the Science Olympiad not only recognized top achievers but also inspired all participants to continue their pursuit of knowledge with curiosity and determination.
