Co-curricular Activities:
At Malpi International School, co-curricular activities are a vital part of our holistic approach to education, offering students a broad spectrum of opportunities to grow beyond the classroom. Our extensive range of activities not only enriches the student experience but also forms an integral part of our overall evaluation system, ensuring a well-rounded development.
Students can engage in sports, games, clubs, and inter-house competitions, alongside unique activities such as, swimming, arts and crafts, and meaningful educational excursions. We also provide enriching programs like outdoor education, international exchange opportunities, and specialized events including debates, spin-a-yarn contests, mental math Olympiads, science model making, music & technology displays, and spelling bees. These programs encourage students to excel in diverse fields and foster their intellectual, physical, and creative growth on both national and international platforms.
Educational Excursions:
We believe that education extends far beyond the four walls of a classroom. In alignment with this philosophy, we organize several educational excursions throughout the academic year, each meticulously planned around specific themes. These excursions are not only a significant part of our academic curriculum but also play a crucial role in the socio-emotional development of our students.
To ensure that these excursions are academically beneficial, students are required to prepare a research-based Pre-Report before embarking on their journey. This pre-report involves thorough research on the theme of the excursion, allowing students to gain a foundational understanding and set learning objectives for the trip. This preparatory work not only equips them with essential background knowledge but also hones their research and analytical skills.
Upon returning from the excursion, students are expected to compile a Post-Report, documenting their experiences and reflecting on their learnings. This post-report is an integral part of the excursion as it encourages students to process their experiences, articulate their thoughts, and share their newfound knowledge with their peers. These reports often include personal anecdotes, photographs, and insights, making them a valuable resource for the entire school community.
Outdoor Educational Programme:
Our Outdoor Educational Programme (O.E.P.) is a key part of the curriculum, offering students invaluable, hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom. Each year, students explore diverse environments across the country, immersing themselves in our cultural and natural heritage.
The O.E.P. fosters both academic and socio-emotional growth, with activities like visiting historical sites, trekking nature reserves, and engaging with rural communities. This experiential learning approach deepens subject understanding, while also building critical life skills such as problem-solving, adaptability, and resilience.
International Exchange Programme:
Malpi International School has a rich history of organizing International Exchange Programmes (I.E.P.) since its establishment in 1999 A.D. These programs consistently provide extraordinary opportunities for our students and staff to broaden their perspectives on the modern world and immerse themselves in enriching experiential learning environments.
The I.E.P. allows participants to immerse themselves in diverse cultures, fostering mutual understanding and friendship among students from different backgrounds. These exchanges not only enrich academic knowledge but also promote personal growth and adaptability.
Through these programmes, Malpi International School has strengthened global ties and established valuable partnerships with schools worldwide. The experiences gained through the I.E.P. benefit both students and staff, enhancing the overall learning environment and cultivating a global mindset.

Our facilities include a standard-size football playground, two standard-size basketball courts, a badminton court, table tennis boards, a cricket practice pitch, a volleyball court, a swimming pool, and more.
Beyond these offerings, we encourage our students to explore and participate in various other athletic pursuits. Each year, we host a major event known as "Phy-Ex" (Physical Excellence), which highlights our students' sporting achievements and activities through the year.
The House System
We celebrate the diverse heritage and rich wildlife of Nepal through our house system, names after a particular province and each represented by an indigenous animal that embodies the core values and spirit of the house.
Janakpur - Red House:
The Red House, known as Janakpur, proudly features the majestic red panda as its emblem. Standing tall and alert, the red panda, is a symbol of curiosity and adventure. Its striking red fur aligns perfectly with the house's color, reflecting the house motto, "Strong and Daring." Students of Janakpur are encouraged to embrace bravery and curiosity in their academic and co-curricular pursuits.
Khumbu - Green House:
Khumbu House, adorned in green, is now represented by the powerful one-horned rhinoceros, a majestic inhabitant of the Terai grasslands. This stylized image of the rhinoceros embodies strength and resilience, perfectly aligning with the house motto, "United in Strength." The green color provides a unique twist on this traditional symbol of power, inspiring Khumbu students to achieve greatness through teamwork and perseverance.
Lumbini - Yellow House:
The Yellow House, named Lumbini, is symbolized by the vibrant hornbill bird, perched gracefully on a branch with yellow flowers. Known for its colorful beak, the hornbill represents communication and success, aligning with the house motto, "Victory through the Golden Path." The bright and vibrant colors of the hornbill and flowers inspire Lumbini students to pursue excellence and success through effective communication and a positive outlook.
Mustang - Blue House:
Mustang House, represented in blue, now features the agile and powerful snow leopard. This magnificent predator, found in the Himalayas, is depicted leaping across a blue mountain peak, capturing the essence of the house's theme, "Now is the Time to Conquer." The snow leopard's agility and resilience motivate Mustang students to overcome challenges and conquer their goals with unwavering determination.
Each house at Malpi International School not only reflects the beauty and strength of Nepalese wildlife but also instills important values in our students, guiding them on their journey to personal and academic excellence.
Malpi Gavel Club:
Beyond academic and co-curricular activities, Malpi International School proudly conducts the Malpi Gavel Club, emphasizing the importance of building student confidence in public speaking. This club provides a supportive platform for students to develop their oratory skills, enhance their communication abilities, and gain the confidence needed to express themselves effectively in public. Through structured activities, speeches, and presentations, the Malpi Gavel Club plays a crucial role in shaping articulate and self-assured individuals.
