Junior Entomologists Take Flight: A Day of Discovery Beyond the Classroom
13 Nov, 2025 Adarsh Shrestha
There was a palpable buzz of excitement on the school grounds this week as our junior grade students traded their traditional classroom for the great outdoors. Armed with nets, magnifying glasses, and an abundance of curiosity, they embarked on a hands-on adventure to learn about the fascinating world of insects.
The mission? To safely observe and learn about the butterflies and dragonflies that share our campus environment. Under the careful guidance of their teachers and our principal, the young explorers learned the importance of gentle handling and respecting living creatures. Every safety measure was in place, ensuring a positive and secure experience for both the students and the insects they studied.
The joy on their faces was undeniable as they carefully caught, observed, and released these beautiful insects. This immersive activity was a perfect example of our philosophy of "learning with fun." It brought science to life, teaching lessons about biology, ecology, and patience in a way that a textbook simply cannot.
We are so proud of our junior scientists for their enthusiasm and respect for nature. Here’s to many more adventures in learning!
